Romance Villa

Beldes HR is a small hotel which opened at the end of 2007 and can be found in the upper floors of a beautiful early 20th century building.

The hotel is owned by two friends, but it is their wives who have brought an obvious feminine touch to the decor of Beldes, imbuing the hotel with a simple and romantic charm.

A flight of steps leads up to the front door of the establishment, next door to which is another small hotel which occupies the ground floor of the same building.

Surprise! The front door leads directly into the small reception room, where you will find a finely crafted wooden desk and a modern glass lift, around which the white marble staircase twines.

The hotel's 11 rooms are spread across two floors. On the first floor you will find a corner living room, full of light due to the large window panes, large, deep, white sofas, a huge flat-screen TV and a snooker table which is transformed every morning into a breakfast table.

Inside the bedrooms the decor is subtle and nicely done, with broderie anglaise bedcovers, white-washed furniture, parquet floors and small crystal and iron-wrought chandeliers. The walls are painted in subtle tones of either beige or taupe, or with stripes. Most of the headboards are made from wood, either in a rural style, with baroque engravings, or as a four-poster bed.

The bathrooms are decorated simply but pleasantly, with white enamelled tiles. Most come equipped with shower cubicles.

Situated in a quiet neighbourhood within close proximity to the metro station Lepanto, staying at Hotel Beldes means you have easy access to Rome: the Vatican is only 15 minutes on foot and Place d'Espagne is just 10 minutes by metro.

Even though there are many restaurants and cafes in this area, the road remains peaceful, lined with trees, which blossom beautifully in springtime.
