ES Hotel Radisson SAS
FreestyleBuilt in 2004 by a large family of Roman hoteliers, the Roscioli family, designed by the talented King Rosselli firm and flying the Radisson flag, the ES Hotel Radisson SAS is the most original hotel experience to arrive in the, at times too classic, Italian capital. The whole project is based around the root of its name, ES for essere, essenziale, espazio… in other words, the desire to create a place which explores a new uninhibited, natural way of life. Imagine a hotel between the station and a working class area with an ambitious, yet elegant shape, standing seven floors high with 232 rooms and, on the top floor, a swimming pool, trendy bar, restaurant and spa and fitness centre. In the centre of this u-shaped building is a large courtyard lined by a windowed façade which bursts into in an array of multicoloured fluorescent lights at nightfall. The rooms are amazing: light, ultramodern and crammed full of gadgets. Luxury comes mainly in the form of a clever redefinition of space, with the use of crude, sometimes rather delicate materials, such as mahogany, lacquered metal, thick anthracite grey lino and white walls. Modern, efficient service. The clienteleThe hotel attracts a very diverse clientele, from young Japanese couples to Italian conference participants, and is ideal for those who love the originality of modern spaces, a wide variety of facilities (including that open-air rooftop pool!) and the anonymity and buzz of a big hotel. |
