The hotel sits almost like a self-contained “island” between the small shops on Liverpool Street, the busy shopping thoroughfare of Bishopsgate and the activities of the station, at the intersection of the two very different worlds of the City of London and London’s East End.

On the one side you have the world of finance, on the other a cosmopolitan area full of art galleries and trendy bars. Pubs are fit to bursting on weekday evenings and, although the City is much quieter at the weekends, the action moves to the markets, restaurants and pubs of Spitalfields Market.

The area is well-served by the underground and buses. Soho can be reached by tube in around fifteen minutes and hop on a bus and you can be at the Southbank in less than ten minutes.
