With its Académie des Arts and the boutiques selling the latest Parisian colours, la rue de la Grande Chaumière maintains  the charm of a bygone period.

This charm is fragile however as the road is linked to the large boulevards of Raspail and Montparnasse, one feels the nearby bustle.

Between Montparnasse and Luxembourg, near to the Select and the Coupole, famous establishments of the 1920s, the area is overflowing with restaurants and cafés.

In the nearby streets one finds a lovely way of life, and at 5 minutes on foot, one finds many shops on the rue de Rennes and the Luxembourg Gardens.  

To get to the île de la Cité or the Eiffel Tower, the bus or metro will take you there directly in less than twenty minutes.
