Hôtel Edouard VII
A legacy of the Haussmann influence with a modern twistBuilt in 1877 during the enormous restructuring of the city by George, Baron Haussmann, the Edouard VII was bought by the Corbel family in 1951 and has been run as a hotel ever since. Changing just slightly over the years, at the end of 2006 a four-year programme of extensive renovation was completed. The interior design has been given a thorough makeover to inject a breath of fresh air into its Empire-style architecture and propel the hotel forwards. The hotel has a trendy restaurant, a lounge-bar and provides a whole range of services, delivered with alacrity by staff who are friendly once their reserve has been overcome. The clienteleHotel guests are mainly people on business during the week and on holiday at the weekend. They come from all over the world but are mostly on the younger side. It is a hotel to suit those looking for traditional services and comfort of a very high standard, but who also want to experience the excitement of France’s capital city. |
