The Sezz sits at the foot of the Colline de Passy, in a small residential street leading to the Seine. Indeed, as soon as you leave the hotel you can see the trees, and feel the hustle and bustle, of its banks.

The area around the hotel, opposite the Eiffel Tower at the point where the Bir Hakeim bridge, with its over-ground metro and magnificent columns, spans the Seine, has its own particular stamp, which is both extremely bourgeois and very photogenic.

The area is also fairly quiet, apart from a few local restaurants, so if you are looking for more life you will need to go up past the metro station to the village of Passy. The area may seem a bit on the posh side with its high façades, its furs in winter and bling in summer, but a Saturday spent in and around Franck&Fils is one of the most classic Parisian shopping experiences.

For a change of scene, the Trocadéro, with its chic brasseries, museums and packed balcony overlooking the Eiffel Tower, is about ten minutes walk away. For those who prefer to wander at their leisure, there is a lovely walk along the île des cygnes up to the replica Statue of Liberty or why not seek out the beautiful buildings hidden in the narrow streets of the 16th arrondissement?

As for transport, a bus operates along the banks of the Seine which will take you to the Hôtel de Ville. It is also a short metro ride to the livelier quarters of Paris such as Etoile, at the top of the Champs-Elysées, or Montparnasse.
