On arrival
The hotel entrance, guarded by four neat shrubs, leads to the reception cum lounge on the left and to another small lounge on the right.

Both lounges look out onto the street through large picture windows. Their style is a contemporary take on the classic Haussmann, with alternating shades of beige and pale raspberry, sofas and some antiques, mainly portraits of children.

Slightly set back from this you will find a third small lounge housing a courtesy bar for guests. Although lacking in natural light and triangular in shape, this is still a cosy little room with its homely leather sofa, library and sepia and brown colour-scheme.

The rooms
All the rooms are fairly similar, a modern take on the classic style. Layers of colour, predominantly raspberry and plum, are combined with clear, simple lines and materials to ensure ultimate serenity, an effect which is reinforced by the rectangular, black wenge headboards and the lack of bedspreads and knickknacks.

Brightly coloured floral curtains add a fresher feel to some of the rooms. The bathrooms are a fairly functional combination of marble flooring and tiles and all have a bath.

The six floors of the hotel contain a total of 29 rooms, principally of two types: “supérieure” and “Junior Suite”. The top-floor houses a light and airy, attic-style Executive Suite of some forty square metres. It has a lounge, one bedroom and a fold-down sofa so can accommodate up to four people.

The rooms overlooking the street are nice and bright and, despite their proximity to the boulevard, fairly quiet. Those on the fifth floor have sloping ceilings and a narrow balcony. The quieter rooms overlook the courtyard and those above the fourth floor and also light and airy. A ground floor Junior Suite also looks out onto the courtyard. It has good ceiling height but is naturally rather darker.

Wifi access is available in all the bedrooms but is not free of charge. There is no mini-bar but drinks can be delivered to your room at any hour of the day or night. Meals from a selection of Parisian restaurants can also be delivered to your room through the services of an outside company.

Breakfast is either served in your room or in a cellar with painted vaults and coir matting floor.
