Location

The Mandeville enjoys a strategic position at the entrance to Marylebone High Street, a location which offers at least two advantages: it is part of a chic and happening quarter with lots of shops and restaurants and you have fast easy access to Oxford Street, Soho and Mayfair without having to suffer the crowds or any of the inconveniences.

Marylebone High Street is a village in an up-and-coming area of the city, where small restaurants exist alongside gourmet restaurants, high street shops alongside designer boutiques and small homeware boutiques alongside a Conran Shop. There are some more noteworthy designers to be found in the side streets around Manchester Street. The Marylebone Farmers Market takes place on Sundays from 10am to 2pm.

All information on the area is available in the Marylebone Village guide which guests can pick up at the hotel or access on-line (www.marylebonevillage.com).

Saint Christophers Place is a charming little pedestrianised shopping street leading to the department stores on Oxford Street, Selfridges to name but one, and Liberty on Marlborough Street for designer shopping.

The Wallace Collection, a worthy neighbour to the hotel, also merits a visit to admire the beautiful house itself and its fabulous collection of paintings, works of art and armour. Lunch is available all year round in the internal courtyard covered by a glass atrium roof.

Sundays in the city can be fairly quiet so a walk round the beautiful flower beds of Regent’s Park is always welcome.
