Sydney House sits on the border between Chelsea and South Kensington and avails itself of the best of both areas.

It is about a ten minute walk from the great museums of South Kensington: the colossal Natural History Museum, loved by children, and the V&A, one of the most important museums of decorative art in Europe.

Behind the museums is the entrance to Kensington Gardens, an ideal place to have a morning stroll.

Chelsea is a stylish, vibrant residential area which is crossed by Kings Road and Fulham Road, home to most of the shops and activity. Of much more interest, however, are the lovely little streets lined with restaurants and tearooms of a standard to meet the gourmet demands of the locals.

If you take a walk in the children’s play area adjoining St Luke’s or visit the bobo Chelsea Farmer’s Market further down Sydney Street you will notice that Chelsea exudes a gentle way of life, something you don’t often find in London

As for shopping, you have Knightsbridge and Sloane Square in the immediate vicinity.
