Location

Situated in a quiet road edged with elegant Edwardian mansions next to a private school from which emanates the occasional laughter of children, the Draycott is in an enviable location.

Nearby Sloane Square, unchanged by tourism, is one of the most sought-after addresses in London. Partly residential and partly commercial it is home to a myriad of well-known names from Tiffany to Jo Malone, not forgetting a wealth of galleries that are hard to resist.  Restaurants in the area have excellent menus and are very popular. Two exhibition venues, a theatre and a concert hall add to the cultural dynamism of the area.

Surrounded by Knightsbridge, Chelsea,  South Kensington and Buckingham Palace, this particular part of London is a  quiet backwater where the days pass peacefully but is near enough to centres of interest that the question most often asked is whether to go by taxi, underground or on foot.

There are of course pleasant walks along the wide residential roads around Sloane Square and particularly in the direction of Brompton. If you want somewhere different then the walk to Battersea Park, on the other side of the Thames is well worth doing.

The hotel is not far from Sloane Square underground which, in less than ten minutes, takes you to Westminster and The National Gallery.
