Location

Clerkenwell, North-East of the City of London, is a village which has been overrun by the city.

The hotel sits on the corner of Saint John Square and the very busy Clerkenwell Road and is surrounded by narrow streets and little tree-covered squares.

Saint John Square is itself very pleasant, bordered by the medieval architecture of the old fort of the Order of Saint Jean.

The quarter’s design and architect studios exist alongside a large number of restaurants and pubs.

Five minutes to the South you have Smithfield Market, London’s meat market which is surrounded by restaurants, and the Barbican, a hub of cultural activity.

A little further from the hotel you have the River Thames and the Southbank. To the East is the very trendy, but slightly more alternative, village of Shoreditch, and finally, to the West, Soho and Covent Garden are a 15-minute bus ride away.
